What this site is for

I record musicians, singers, and other performers at local venues and open mics. After each event, I generate 360p watermarked previews for you to review, and keep the full-resolution originals available for purchase.

This page is your hub to:

• Browse and watch your preview videos on Google Drive
• Request and purchase full-resolution downloads of your favorite clips

Preview your performances

All previews live in a single Morning Star Previews folder on Google Drive. Inside, each event has its own subfolder (for example: 2025-10-21-OWL).

New events appear automatically as they are processed, and older events are cleaned up after a retention period — so this one link is always current.

In that folder, look for the event name and date when you performed. Previews are view-only and include a subtle Morning Star watermark. If you’d like an original full-resolution file without the preview watermark, check the “Events & pricing” page for details on requesting downloads.

How to get full-resolution video

Full-resolution downloads (without the preview watermark) are available now, but I’m keeping the system simple while things are starting up.

Behind the scenes, this site is just static HTML deployed via Cloudflare Pages, and the pricing/events are driven from a simple events.json file. That means I can update details quickly without taking the site down.

Behind the scenes (for the nerds)

Previews and originals are processed on a dedicated transcode VM. Original recordings are uploaded to private storage, then a scheduled job:

• Scans for new source videos via rclone
• Generates 360p H.264/AAC previews with a Morning Star watermark
• Publishes them to a “Previews” Google Drive structure

This site itself is deployed through Cloudflare Pages from a GitHub repo, so changes are just git commits.
